check_box_1 U.S. Army WWI M1905 dummy 30.06 training ammunition for the Springfield rifle, ‘crimping’ on the cartridges indicates that they’re ‘dummy’ training shells, original clip of 5, $3.00 each shell

check_box_1 Walt Disney’s Donald Duck! U.S. Navy ‘pancake’ navy blue Melton wool sailor’s cap, complete with a black ribbon featuring the words U.S. NAVY woven in antique gold letters attached. This is the model that inspired Walt Disney’s design for the cap worn by Donald Duck! This design was phased out by the Navy Department in 1940 and replaced with the current issue white ‘Dixie Cup’ sailor caps instead available for sale elsewhere on this list. Size 7 only, brand new: $40.00

WWII Military Issue

check_box_1 An incredible find! U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) WWII issue (and dated!) Survival Map for the planned 1945 invasion of Japan, that illustrates the cities of Tokyo and Hiroshima! These double-sided full color maps were produced on rayon to withstand the rigors of both combat and salt water and folded for inclusion in the pilot’s survival vest. Interestingly, they would have been produced on silk instead, but our silk at the time came exclusively from Japan, so the lack of that option led to the research and development of rayon! Each light blue or turquoise color map displays the ocean and wind currents in the event that the pilot was either shot down or crashed over enemy territory during the invasion that never occurred! Suitable for framing. Brand new: $50.00

check_box_1 Abandon ship! U.S. Navy WWII issue battleship grey ship’s lifeboat water purification metal box attached to a white cotton cord, dated 1945, new: $8.00

check_box_1 A rarity! U.S. Army Vietnam Issue insect repellent, in clear plastic containers with a paper label attached, dated 1965. These were carried by every soldier in the field, often in the elastic band of their combat helmet for easy access. Just like the original P38 can openers (listed below under Vietnam War period military surplus),  which were routinely ‘tossed’ after use since they were so common at the time and taken for granted, the empty plastic insect repellent containers were also thrown away after use and forgotten- but try and find one 50 years later! These are brand new in unused condition and most of the containers actually contain some of their original repellent! A true collector’s item, rarely seen today. $20.00 each or 2 for $35.00

check_box_1 Whoa! North Vietnamese Army (NVA) green sun helmets with manufacturer’s original paper label inside.  The real deal! Only a few! Used excellent: $100.00

Vietnam War period Military Issue

check_box_1 U.S. Army dummy 45 caliber training ammunition for the Colt 45, heavy weight, mint: $6.00

check_box_1 The most famous ‘G.I.’ item of them all! U.S. Army ‘P38’ can openers in their original 1970’s paper wrapper! These were phased out and discontinued altogether as C Rations in cans were replaced by the plastic packaging of MRE’s! Originally issued three to a case of 12 ‘C Rats’, they’re now virtually impossible to find! Mint condition: $4.00 each or 3 for $10.00
